Instructions
-
-
1
Select a pattern. A good pattern will have the amount of lumber needed for the project and a list of tools and supplies needed. A pattern with actual-size drawings is the best for a beginner.
-
2
Purchase tools needed to complete project. If you are buying for someone who already does some woodworking, you might check with a family member on tools already on hand.
-
-
3
Include a gift certificate for lumber from a favorite lumber store if this is a gift.
-
4
Add a few extras - carpenter's pencil, chalk line, T-square, sandpaper, level, compass, handsaw, wood glue, Phillips-head and flat-head screwdrivers.
-
5
Include paints, brushes and wood sealer if needed to the complete project.
-
6
Present the gift in a toolbox.
