How to Make Crock-Pot Pepper Steak

Slow-cooked beef makes for very tender meat. Make sure to have some crusty French bread on hand. Serves six.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Chef's Knives
  • Crock-Pots
  • Cutting Boards
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • 1/4 c. soy sauces
  • 1/2 tsp. ground gingers
  • 2 tbsp. chopped dried onion
  • 2 chopped green peppers
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powders
  • 1 c. beef stock
  • 2 lb. lean round steaks

Step1
Cut steak into serving-size portions.
Step2
Place half the steak in the Crock-Pot.
Step3
Arrange green peppers over steak.
Step4
Place remaining steak on top of the peppers.
Step5
Mix dried onion, stock, soy sauce, ground ginger and garlic powder; pour over meat.
Step6
Cover Crock-Pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • This dish can also be cooked on a high setting. In that case, cook for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Instead of stock, you can also use bouillon granules to make 1 cup of liquid. Follow directions on bouillon box or jar.
