How to Make Crock-Pot Jambalaya

This might not be the most authentic jambalaya, but it's quick and easy to prepare, as well as tasty. Serves four to six.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Combine chicken, onions, carrots, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and tomatoes in a Crock-Pot.
Step2
Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
Step3
Add shrimp and rice. Cook on high 30 to 40 minutes, until shrimp is pink and opaque.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add a pinch of cayenne to the pot for a little kick.
  • Remove the skin from the chicken to make the dish low-fat.
