How to Make Crock-Pot All-Day Beef

Go about your day after starting this meal. Then come home to a hearty dinner. Serves six.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Groceries
  • Crock-Pots
  • 1 1/2 lb. beef roast
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 sliced carrots
  • 2 diced stalks celery
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 green bell pepper - sliced into thin strips
  • 1 onion - sliced vertically, rings separated
  • 1/2 package onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp. steak sauce
  • 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Step1
Cut beef roast into serving-sized portions.
Step2
Brown beef in vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Don't cook it; just brown the outside. Set aside.
Step3
Place onion, carrots, celery and pepper in the bottom of the Crock-Pot.
Step4
Sprinkle the beef pieces with pepper, minced garlic and onion soup mix. Place in Crock-Pot on top of vegetables.
Step5
Mix steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl with 1/2 cup cold water and tomato juice. Pour over meat.
Step6
Cover Crock-Pot and cook on high for 30 minutes. Then turn to low and cook 7 to 9 hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • Serve with noodles or potatoes and a green salad.
