Ribs are finger-lickin' good anytime. Serves 4.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Roasting Pans
  • Saucepans
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 3/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. regular or nonalcoholic beer
  • 1 tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustards
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. country-style pork ribs
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauces

Step1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step2
Put ribs, bone side up, in a shallow roasting pan. Bake 1 hour.
Step3
Cook onion and garlic in hot oil in a medium-size saucepan until tender.
Step4
Stir in chili sauce, beer, honey, Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard. Bring to a boil.
Step5
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
Step6
Drain fat from the roasting pan and turn meaty side of ribs up.
Step7
Spoon some sauce over the ribs. Bake, covered, for 45 to 60 minutes, or until tender. Baste ribs often with sauce.
Step8
Serve ribs with any sauce left over.

on 11/22/2005 If you are looking for tender ribs the above recipe will work fine, but add: 1/4 c. wine vinegar, 2 small cloves of garlic. Lower the oven to 200 degrees & cook for 3 hr. - then on the grill with your barbecue sauce for 10 min. or so.
