How to Mend a Wooden Cutting Board

  • Fine Steel Wool
  • Clear Or Wood Epoxy
  • Mineral Oil
  • Paper Clip Or Stiff Wire

Instructions

      Clear out the crack with a straightened paper clip or a stiff wire.

      Clean the board and let it dry completely.

      Fill the crack with clear or wood epoxy, mounding it up a little higher than the board's surface.

      When the epoxy is cured, rub away excess with fine steel wool.

    • 5

      Rub your cutting board regularly with mineral oil to prevent drying. Do not use vegetable oil, which will turn rancid.
