How to Live as a Confident Single Person
Being single can be a depressing state or an exhilarating one, depending on how you look at it. Rather than moping around because you have no one to love, recognize your freedom to see the world and live your dreams. You have an opportunity for a voyage of self-discovery that may elude those who are in relationships. Make the most of your single status by developing the confidence that comes from loving yourself and your life.

1
Discover your interests. If you've always wanted to be a fashion photographer or marathon runner, nobody's stopping you. Taking classes and joining activity groups not only develop your skills, they allow you to meet new people.
-
2
Feed your mind. Spend one afternoon a week browsing in a bookstore or hanging out at the library. Go to plays, operas, poetry readings and art house movie theaters. Challenge your intellect and learn new things.

3
Exercise and eat right. When your body is in peak physical condition, your confidence gets a natural boost.
-
4
Travel as much as possible. Go to a country where you don't speak the language and prove to yourself you can survive alone. Meet up with fellow travelers and explore new cultures. See the places you've always dreamed of seeing.
-
5
Lean on your friends. When your confidence lags, it's acceptable to call your best friend and ask her to tell you one thing she loves about you. Be a good friend in return and watch your social life blossom.
