How to Make Leather Pouches to Hold Essential Oil Bottles
When you enjoy carrying essential oils around with you for your aromatherapy business, it may be difficult to find a way to carry the oils, without stuffing them into a purse or pocket. One solution is to use a small leather pouch to carry your essential oils. Although you can buy a pre-made leather pouch from a department store or specialty shop, you can save money by making your own leather pouch using the basic craft materials.

1
Cut out a circle from thin crafting leather -- using shears -- to measure 5-inches in diameter. This will accommodate a standard-sized essential oil bottle.
-
2
Punch out five small holes around the perimeter of the leather circle using an awl, spacing each hole 1-inch apart and positioning the holes 1/4-inch away from the edge of the circle.

3
Cut a leather lace using shears to measure 8-inches long.
-
4
Thread the leather lace back and forth through the holes with your fingers.
-
5
Stand the essential oil bottle upright in the center of the leather circle; then cinch the lace to close it underneath the cap of the bottle. Tie the leather lace into a knot to secure the leather pouch in place.
