Unwind the fuse on your firework, then pull it off entirely.

Drop both your fireworks and your fuses into a bucket. Fill the bucket with water, until the contents of the bucket are saturated with water.

Remove your fireworks from the bucket and place them into a plastic bag. Seal the bag. Dispose of it in a trash can or, if required by your fire department, drop it off at the fire department.
