Install AOL easily with the AOL Installer.

AOL, formerly America Online, is a an Internet service Provider that used to provide dialup service and now also provides broadband Internet. Whether you use AOL as your ISP, or you use a different broadband service and cancel AOL, you can continue to use the AOL desktop to access your email, instant messaging and Web browser. Installing AOL Desktop on your computer allows you easy access to all of those options, whether you use the free service or pay for the subscription that keeps you connected to the Internet as well.

Instructions

      Download the AOL Installer from AOL's website. Press the "Download Now" button on the AOL download website.

      Press the "Run" button in the installer download window. If Windows 7 asks you to confirm that you want to run the installer, press the "Run" button. When the license agreement comes up, press the "I agree" button.

      Check the "Custom Install" option in the installer to choose which services you want to install specifically. Check the "Express Install" if you want to install the entire AOL package. Push the "Continue" button.

      Push the "Launch" button to sign in and begin using the AOL Desktop.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you cannot download AOL directly from your computer because your computer does not have Internet access, you can burn an AOL installation CD from someone else's computer and use it to install AOL.
