How to Throw Sand in People's Face in "Assassin's Creed 2"

Throw sand in a guard's face to gain valuable time.

The Assassin's Creed video game series chronicles the adventures of Desmond Miles as he explores the genetic memories of his ancestors. In Assassin's Creed 2, you can throw sand in the faces of guards to cause them to double over in pain for a short time. This gives you a chance to escape or attack, and in either case you have the upper hand.

Instructions

1. Travel to Monteriggioni and talk to the combat trainer stationed outside of your villa.

2. Talk to the combat trainer and select "Special Moves" training, then choose "Unarmed." The trainer will teach you how to throw sand.

3. Complete the unarmed combat training to gain the skill.

4. Display the Weapon Select wheel by holding the right bumper button, then un-equip any weapons by using your directional stick to select the fist icon.

5. Throw sand by approaching a guard or group of guards and holding the "Square" button if you are playing the game on PlayStation 3 or "X" button if you are playing the game on the Xbox 360. Ezio will throw sand at the guards, causing them to stop attacking you to rub their eyes.
