How to Learn the "Starcraft 2" Terran Hotkeys Fast
StarCraft 2 is the sequel to the popular real-time strategy game StarCraft. In this sequel, players control one of three space-age civilizations and build bases, collect resources and fight enemies. Each civilization, including the human Terran, has hotkeys for all of its units and buildings. These keyboard shortcuts immediately start building a unit or building. Mastering hotkeys is essential to building fast and winning multiplayer games against skilled computer and human opponents.

Start a campaign game or a game against the computer and select Terran as your civilization. Set your opponent's skill level to easy. This game will be for learning purposes only.

Move your mouse over a building or unit for which you want to learn the hotkey. The game will display the hotkey associated with the building or unit. Begin setting up your base and building available units only with hotkeys.

Learn the hotkeys for more advanced buildings and units as they become available. There are a variety of hotkey references available online and in the StarCraft II manual. Keep a hotkey reference handy. Once a unit or building is accessible and you find out the hotkey for it, use only hotkeys to access and build the unit.

Learn hotkeys in order of priority. As you play the Terran side, you'll see that some hotkeys are used far more than others. Take a careful look at which units you build the most of -- typically Marines and, later, Siege Tanks -- and which buildings you will be constructing more than once (defensive structures such as bunkers and anti-aircraft installations are of particular note here).
