How to Add an Image to Assets in Dreamweaver CS5

Adobe Dreamweaver adds assets to Web pages to keep track of each element on the page. When you add an image to a Web page, Adobe Dreamweaver automatically adds the image to the list of page assets. Using assets, you can reuse the same image on other pages for your website.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "All Programs." Click "Adobe," then click "Dreamweaver" to open the software. Open your Web project to view all of the website files.

    • 2

Double-click the file you want to edit. Click the "Insert" menu item, then click "Image." A window opens where you select the image you want to add.

    • 3

Double-click the image you want to add. After the image appears in the Adobe designer, use the panel at the bottom of the workspace to edit the image's properties. For instance, type a width and a height to manually set the size of the image.
