How to Make Your Own Glowstick Goop
The liquid inside a glowstick is highly toxic, but you can make your own version in the form of goop. Also known as slime, goop is a thick, squishy substance you can make from readily available, non-toxic ingredients. Glowstick goop glows in the dark if you charge it up with light first. This charge can be as simple as leaving the goop out in the sun or under a lamp for a few minutes before you play with it.
Instructions

-
1
Mix 1/3 cup glue gel with 1 cup of warm water in a plastic mixing bowl.
-
2
Add 1/4 tsp. of zinc sulfide powder to the glue solution. Stir the solution to mix. The powder will not dissolve completely, but the solution will still work.
-
-
3
Mix 1 tsp. borax powder into 1/2 cup of water in another bowl.
-
4
Pour the borax water slowly into the glue mixture, mixing with your hands as you pour. The solution will turn to goop quickly.
-
5
Allow the slime to rest under a bright light, such as a lamp, for 10 minutes. Turn out the lights and the slime will glow.

Tips & Warnings
If you can't find zinc sulfide, use 1 tsp. of glow-in-the-dark paint instead.
Although zinc sulfide is non-toxic, it may be slightly irritating to the skin with prolonged contact. Wash your hands after playing with the glowstick slime, and keep it out of your mouth.
