How to Make Smiley Faces on Your Facebook Status Using a Laptop
On Facebook, you can use Windows "Alt" key codes to make smileys and symbols. However, using these codes requires a numeric keypad, which many laptops don't have. Look at your keyboard to see if any keys have tiny numbers printed on them. Most laptop keyboards let you use a numeric keypad by enabling number lock and pressing "7," "8" and "9" to enter the respective numbers. "J," "K" and "L" represent one through three. Press "NumLK" or "Fn" plus "ScrLK" on some keyboards." Hold down the "Alt" key and press the appropriate keys to enter the alt code you want.
