How to Expand Web Pages With a Zoom Bottom

Most Web browsers allow the user to zoom in and out on Web pages to increase or decrease the size of fonts and page elements. Internet Explorer includes a Status Bar at the bottom right side of the browser window. You can expand or shrink Web pages using the Zoom feature at the bottom of the browser window, or you can use keyboard shortcuts to zoom on a Web page.

  1. Zoom using Status Bar

      Open Internet Explorer and navigate to a Web page to view.

      Click the arrow next to the percentage (100 percent) in the browser status bar. The Zoom percentage drop-down box opens.

      Click "120 percent" (or another percentage) to expand the Web page. Thus, 120 percent shows the Web page at 120 percent of its original size.

    Zoom using Shortcut Keys

      Open any Web browser and navigate to a Web page to view.

      Press the "CTRL" and the "+" key to expand or zoom in on the Web page.

      Press the "CTRL" and the "-" key to zoom out or shrink the Web page.

      Press the "CRTL" and the "0" key to reset zoom to 100 percent.
