How to Make a Blogger Template Compatible With a Mobile Phone

Optimize your blog for display on mobile device and smartphone screens.

Many smartphones and mobile devices include Web browsers and high-resolution screens that can display websites and blogs. The size and shape of phone and mobile device screens means that your Blogger blog might not display in the same way as it does on a desktop computer monitor or laptop screen. To make a Blogger template compatible with a smartphone or mobile device screen, activate the blog's mobile template from the Settings page. This displays a mobile version of your blog each time a visitor accesses it with a smartphone or mobile device.

Instructions

1. Sign in to Blogger.

2. Click the "Settings" link under the title of the blog with the template that you want to edit.

3. Select "Email & Mobile" from the Settings menu bar, beneath the main navigation menu at the top of the page.

4. Click and select the button beside "Yes. Show Mobile Template on Mobile Devices." Click the blue "Preview" button to see how the blog template displays on a mobile device screen.

5. Click the orange "Save Settings" button at the bottom of the page to save and implement the changes.

Tips & Warnings

• Blog visitors using a mobile device might not see all of the blog's design elements because Blogger strips out some of the layout to optimize the template for mobile phone and device screens.
