Powder paint thoroughly coats the cables on Charriol watches.

Charriol is a luxury jewelry line that features precious metals and stainless steel cables inspired by the twisted cable designs of the ancient Celts. Philippe Charriol designed the high-quality jewelry and backed each piece with a two-year warranty. As a result, powder coating Charriol jewelry is not recommended. Instructions

    • 1

Preheat an oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid using an oven in which food is prepared because chemicals from the powder coating may contaminate food cooked in the oven after this project.

    • 2

Remove clasps, diamonds and watch faces from the metal to be powder coated. Clean the pieces that are to be powder coated with a chemical cleaner for jewelry to remove dirt, grease and oil. Lay the pieces on old newspaper. If completing the powder coating outdoors is not an option, the find a well-ventilated space to finish the project.

    • 3

Slip on a pair of disposable gloves to protect your hands. Follow directions in a powder-coating kit to fill a powder-coating gun with paint powder. Point the powder-coating gun at the jewelry, and use it to spray the jewelry gently with the paint powder. Use your fingertips to turn the jewelry pieces over gently in order to avoid disturbing the coating. Spray all sides of the jewelry with the paint powder.

    • 4

Grasp each jewelry piece one at a time with tongs to place the jewelry pieces on an old baking sheet that won't be used for food again. Bake the jewelry in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Heating the jewelry cures the paint and melts the powder coating for a seamless paint restoration.

    • 5

Remove the jewelry from the oven. Let the pieces of jewelry cool. Re-attach clasps or other parts you removed earlier from the jewelry.
