How to Troubleshoot PowerDrive 2 Club Car Chargers
The PowerDrive 2 is an electric charger for the Club Car golf cart, which should provide power to your golf cart battery, allowing you hours of carefree traveling around the golf course. However, this isn't always the case. If you are afflicted by problems such as an incompatible battery pack, a damaged casing or moisture in the mechanisms, you will have to troubleshoot the unit before it will work.

1
Make sure your battery pack is actually compatible with the PowerDrive 2. If not, you may suffer from an overheating transformer in your PowerDrive.
-
2
Visually inspect your charging unit if you are receiving no charge. This could be due to structural damage from dropping it or bashing it against something. Call a service technician if this is the case.

3
Inspect the DC power plug for any frays or breaks in the wiring that may be responsible for inconsistent--or a total lack of--power. This part will have to be replaced if you notice any damage.
-
4
Consider the conditions that the unit has been exposed to. Have the unit taken to a specialist if it has been exposed to rain or snow or other conditions that may have caused moisture to build up in the mechanisms.
