How to Disband a Warcraft Guild

In the online game "World of Warcraft," guilds are collections of players who want to progress through the game together and collect the various rewards that being in a guild can offer. If you are a guild leader and you no longer want your guild to exist, you can dissolve the guild using a single command. Once you disband the guild, all guild members will be kicked out and anything in the guild bank will be mailed to you.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to "World of Warcraft" using the character that is the guild master of the guild you are disbanding.

    • 2

Press "Enter" to activate the text field underneath your text box. Type "/gdisband" into this box and press "Enter."

    • 3

Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to disband the guild. The game will now disband your guild. Any items that were in the guild bank will be mailed to you within a few hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • Only a guild master can disband a guild.

  • Ever since the "Firelands" patch, guilds that have reached level three cannot be disbanded. If you want to disband a guild above level three, click the "Help" button at the bottom of the screen, choose "Open a Ticket," and then type an explanation as to why you want to disband the guild. After some time, a GM will get back to you with an answer to your request.
