Instructions

  1. Purchased Netting

    • 1

Take the inner parts of your helmet out and put them to the side. This includes the chinstrap, liner and the visor, if applicable.

    • 2

Pull the camo netting out of the package it came in.

    • 3

Grab the edges of the elastic section and stretch it out with your hands. Determine which section of the netting is longer. This is the section that will go on the back of the helmet.

    • 4

Start at the front, tuck the elastic band under the front lip and stretch towards the back, working the edges of the netting over the sides as you go. Check to make sure the entire elastic band got tucked under the lip of the helmet. Pull any sections down that didn't stay put during this process. You may have to use medium to hard pressure to get the elastic to do what you want.

    • 5

      Replace the helmet inside parts.

    Making Your Own

    • 6

Take the inner parts of your helmet out and put them to the side. This includes the chinstrap, liner and the visor, if applicable.

    • 7

Lay your helmet liner on a flat surface and smooth it out.

    • 8

Position the camo netting over the helmet liner. Cut any excess that extends passed one inch of the outside perimeter of the liner.

    • 9

Use a needle and thread to attach the camo netting to the helmet liner. Use the same color thread as your chosen camo netting. To attach the camo netting, you have to make several random knots connecting the liner and netting. Place knots around the outer perimeter of the helmet liner and five to 10 random knots in the interior section. Cut the excess thread in between each knot.

    • 10

Weave the elastic band through the outer perimeter of your newly camouflaged helmet liner. Leave the ends loose without tying them.

    • 11

Stretch the camo helmet liner over the helmet. The edges should extend over the edges of the helmet.

    • 12

Pull the ends of the elastic band until it bunches up and secures the edges of the netting and liner inside the brim of the helmet. Tie a knot in the elastic band and cut off any excess from the ends.

    • 13

      Replace the inside helmet parts.
