How to Fix a Clogged Hose in a Hotpoint Fridge
Many Hotpoint refrigerators have built-in ice makers and water dispensers in the door. Such a refrigerator has a flexible copper hose that connects between the water shutoff valve and the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. If you have hard water in your home, it is possible for the thin copper hose to clog with sediment. If this happens, the clog will restrict the flow to the unit and prevent the Hotpoint from making ice or dispensing water. Fortunately, you can unclog the hose in a few minutes. Does this Spark an idea?

-
4
Remove the screws that hold the bottom panel onto the rear of the refrigerator with a screwdriver to expose the inlet valve for the water dispenser. Remove the compression nut from the inlet valve with the wrench.

Blow compressed air through the hose to clear out any debris stuck in the hose, or use pressurized water from a garden hose. You will know the hose is clear when air or water comes out the other end of the hose freely.
