Mix one tablespoon each of olive oil and cornmeal with one drop lavender oil in a small bowl. Combine the ingredients thoroughly.

    • 2

Exfoliate your face with a washcloth dipped into warm water. Lift dead skin from the cheeks and forehead by rubbing the towel gently on your face using a circular motion.

    • 3

Massage one tablespoon of the paste gently into your freshly dampened skin. Place a warm washcloth over your face and relax for five minutes.

    • 4

Remove the paste with a splash of warm water and a small towel.

    Coffee Facial Mask

    • 5

Combine one half cup whole milk and one fourth cup each of coffee and cocoa powder in a small bowl. Mix until the ingredients form a thick paste.

    • 6

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser to prepare your skin for the mask. Using your fingertips, spread two tablespoons of the mask on your face and neck.

    • 7

Leave the mask on your skin for 15 minutes, while you enjoy the chocolate and coffee scents.

    • 8

Splash off the mask with warm water and pat dry with your face towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep the facial mask away from sensitive areas like the mouth and eyes.

  • The lavender scrub is gentle enough to use as an exfoliant for dry and chapped lips. Dip a toothbrush into the paste and spread on lips to exfoliate dry skin.
