Customize the size of the text on Web pages.

Finding the perfect font size to use on a Web page is a difficult task for Web designers. A size that one user thinks is perfect, another user has difficulty reading. To help make pages readable for all users, the Safari Web browser lets you change the size of the text. If text on a page is too big and distracting, use the Zoom Out feature in Safari to decrease its size.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "View" along the top of the Safari window.

    • 2

Select "Zoom Text Only." This lets you zoom out and make the text smaller without affecting other page elements, such as images and videos.

    • 3

Select "Zoom Out" to make the text smaller. Select "Zoom Out" again if you want to make the text even smaller.

Tips & Warnings

  • Press "Ctrl" and "-" at the same time on Windows or "Command" and "-" at the same time on Macs to make the text smaller using the keyboard.
