Wipe down the wig holder to remove dirt and buildup. Wipe dry with a dry cloth.

Tape a plastic bag over any felt on the mannequin's head intended to secure the wig and prevent it from sliding.

Spray a light coat of mannequin paint over the face and head with even strokes. Set aside to dry.

Spray a second coat of paint over the face to hide any makeup that shows through.

Purchase mannequin paint directly from a mannequin manufacturer or choose a low glare matte spray paint from a home improvement store.
Blemishes on the neck and face are hardest to hide because they are in plain view. Add a scarf or hat, accessories that direct attention away from the face.
