How to Adjust the Roster on "NBA 2K10"

Team customization and roster changes are important aspects of contemporary sports video games, and the "NBA 2K10" basketball simulation game does not cut corners with these features. "NBA 2K10" is set up to download a roster update for each available team automatically through its "NBA Live" function, which you also can activate manually to keep rosters concurrent with their real-life counterparts. In addition, you may manually edit the roster of each team through the game's menu system.

Instructions

  1. Player-Adjusted Rosters

    • 1

Start the game so that it loads the "NBA 2K10" title screen. Press "Start" if on a console or any keyboard key if on a PC to bring up the game's main menu.

    • 2

Select the "Options" button from the main menu.

    • 3

Select "Rosters" from the Options section to open the roster-change window, which selects a random team to display.

    • 4

Cycle through teams by using the buttons above the team names in the top-right portion of the menu. Find the team whose roster you wish to adjust.

    • 5

Use the "Up" and "Down" function on your analog stick, directional pad or keyboard to cycle through players on your selected team. This highlights individual players, and selecting a player brings up a menu of options for that player.

    • 6

Select the options you desire for the selected player. If you want the player off the team, select "Release Player." If you are building a team and want this player on it, select "Trade Player," then select the team you want to trade the player to. Select "Edit Player" to bring up a menu where you may change aspects of the player, including in-game statistics, such as speed or skill at rebounding, and physical appearance and features, such as height and facial structure.
