How to Move a WordPress Domain to Blogger

Moving a domain from a WordPress blog to a Blogger site isn't difficult, but it does help to have experience editing Domain Name Server (DNS) records. It doesn't matter where you originally purchased the domain, you can get it pointed to your Blogger site and have it mapped properly in a few steps. Domain mapping may take several minutes to a full 24 hours. Once the mapping is complete, when you type in your domain address it will bring up your Blogger-hosted blog.

      Go to WordPress.com in your browser, sign into your account and select the blog you want. Go to the "Store" panel on the left sidebar of the Dashboard. Click the "Domains" link. Click the link for "Manage Your Domains."

      Log in to the domain management screen with your customer number and password. The DNS management control panel is hosted by a third-party registrar.

      Click on your domain from the list, then click the "Nameservers" button and select the "I have specific nameservers for my domains" option. On the next page, clear out the information in the "Nameserver 1" and "Nameserver 2" boxes.

      Type "ghs.google.com" into the "Nameserver 1" text field box. Click the "OK" button to update the domain servers.

      Go to Blogger.com, sign into your Google account and click the "Settings" link next to your blog.

      Click the "Publishing" tab, then click the "Custom Domain" link. Click "Switch to Advanced Settings" on the next page.

      Type the domain name in the "Your Domain" box. Enter the verification code below, then click the "Save Settings" button. Your domain is mapped correctly and officially transferred from WordPress to Blogger. It may take up to 24 hours before the domain address shows your Blogger site.
