How to Stream Live on Ustream With a MacBook
Ustream lets you create your own online video channel where you can display recorded videos or do live broadcasts. The site provides various methods for streaming live, including a browser-based interface that works with your MacBook's built-in camera. You can choose to record your live video stream so that users can access it again later, and you also have the option to broadcast using only an audio stream.

Launch your Mac's browser, and go to the Ustream website. Click the "Login" link to log in with your account information or click "Sign Up" if you need to create an account for the site.

Click the yellow "Go Live!" button near the top of the page. Select your channel's name when prompted, then click "Broadcast."

Click "Allow" on the permission message on the streaming video page that appears, then click "Close." Ustream will automatically detect your MacBook's camera and microphone so you don't have to change any source settings. Drag the "Video Quality" slider to adjust the video quality as desired. Drag the "Audio Quality" slider to adjust your microphone's sound quality.

Click the green "Start Broadcast" button to start streaming live. Click "Start Record" if you'd like to record the stream for later viewing. After you finish your session, click the "Stop Broadcast" button to end the live stream.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't have a Ustream show, click your user name on the top right corner of the page, and select "Go to Dashboard." Click the "Create a Channel" link under "Manage My Channel" to add a new channel.
To disable the video stream and broadcast only audio, clear the box next to "Video Broadcast" at the bottom of the broadcasting interface.
