How to Make 3-D Cursive
Cursive, a mainstay of elementary school education, is a form of writing in which letters often loop into one another, limiting the amount of time the writing utensil is lifted off the page. Writing cursive on paper can look fancy, but flat. Google SketchUp makes it simple to take cursive words and sentences and add a third dimension, height, to them.

Tips & Warnings
You can also create 3-D text from your own handwriting by scanning in a selection and saving it as a .JPEG to your desktop. Place the text in to SketchUp using "Import", under "File" in the menu bar and then use the Freehand tool to trace the outside and inside of each letter. Once done, use the Push/Pull tool to make the cursive three-dimensional.
