How to Make Scarves Made With Eyelash Yarn
Eyelash yarn consists of a strand of synthetic thread covered with thin strands of polyester filament. The effect of the yarn is similar to a feather boa; eyelash yarn is also known as boa yarn or fun fur. If you've never knitted novelty yarn, using large needles serves two purposes. Bigger needles make your stitches easier to see and allow the eyelashes to fan out. Basic stockinette stitch produces a lacy fabric that curls in slightly on the sides, adding to the feather boa look.

Cast on as many stitches as you like. Start with 10 for a medium-width scarf and go up in 5-stitch increments. Twenty stitches will create a wide scarf.
-
2
Knit three rows to produce a garter-stitch edge.
-
-
3
Purl the fourth row.
-
4
Alternate rows of knitting and purling until the scarf is as long as you want it to be.
-
5
Knit three rows of garter stitch. Bind off all stitches. Weave the yarn tail into the bind-off edge.
