1
Clean eyelashes as often as needed to prevent debris buildup. Use a cotton ball, lint-free pad or clean washcloth with a mild eyelid cleansing solution or baby shampoo. Keeping eyelashes clean allows them to grow to their fullest length.
-
2
Condition with an eyelash conditioner as often as indicated on the product. Apply it just as you would mascara but before applying mascara. Conditioner prevents your eyelashes from drying out, which can cause them to weaken and fall out.

3
Use water-resistant mascara rather than waterproof mascara. Waterproof mascara clings to the lashes and has more potential to pull the lashes out when you remove it.
-
4
Replace mascara every three to six months to prevent bacteria buildup from weakening your eyelashes and infecting your eyes.

5
Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. According to WebMD, the same deficiencies that cause your hair to fall out also make your lashes fall out. Eat foods high in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon. Dark green vegetables, carrots, beans, eggs and whole grains also enhance hair growth.
