How to Make Candy Themed Party Favors
Many hosts use candy as a go-to party favor. For a wedding or a kid's birthday party, throw some candy in a bag or box and send guests on their way. Add some creativity to this traditional party favor by presenting it in non-traditional ways. Give guests candy to fit the party's theme or present the candy in unique containers. Things You'll Need
- Multiple glass jars and vases
- Treat bags or boxes
- Candy
- Ribbon
- Wooden craft sticks
- Styrofoam balls
- Plastic cups
- Candy molds
- Chocolate or candy melts
- Saucepan
- Glass or metal bowl
- Rolled cellophane

Candy Buffet

Place multiple sizes of glass jars and vases on a table. Make sure all containers have been washed and dried.

Purchase multiple types of candy related to the party's theme or color scheme. For example, for a baby shower, purchase mini candy pacifiers, blue or pink lollipops, wax bottles and wrapped chocolates shaped like baby items. If you're throwing a traditional Christmas party, purchase candy in shades of red and green.

Fill each jar or vase with a different type of candy. Add a serving spoon or scoop to each container.

Place treat bags or small containers on the table for guests to use to hold the candy.

Allow guests to place their choice of candy into specified containers as they leave the party.
Candy Bar Bouquets

Purchase multiple types and sizes of candy bars, including mini and fun-size bars.

Tape or hot glue wooden craft sticks to the back of each candy bar.

Place a medium-sized Styrofoam ball in a plastic cup or coffee mug.

Stick the ends of the wooden craft sticks in the Styrofoam to create the candy bar bouquet.

Wrap the cup in cellophane so that it sticks over the top of the cup to cover any exposed wooden craft sticks and Styrofoam. Tie the cellophane with a ribbon.

Make enough candy bar bouquets for each guest to take one home.
Homemade Chocolates

Fill a saucepan halfway with hot water and heat it until it begins to boil.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and place a glass or metal bowl containing unmelted chocolate or candy melts on top of the pan.

Stir the chocolate until it is completely melted.

Pour the melted chocolate into a candy mold. Choose a mold to match your party's theme, such as seashells for a beach wedding or teddy bears for a baby shower.

Place the mold in the freezer until the chocolate has set.

Remove handmade chocolates from the mold. Wrap chocolates in clear or patterned cellophane and tie with a ribbon.

Tips & Warnings
Omit the wooden craft sticks and replace the candy bars with lollipops in the candy bar bouquet to create a lollipop bouquet.
Cover the wooden craft sticks with green floral tape to make them less noticeable and look more like flower stems.
