How to Make Your PS3 Read Your Media Server
The PS3 media server is capable of reading any existing streamed document or file on the network. If you have enabled your computer on the network, your PlayStation 3 is capable of loading the file and streaming its information to your actively configured television screen.

Press the "PS" button on your controller to access the XMB menu.

Press "Left" or "Right" on the directional pad until "Video" is highlighted.

Press "Down" on the directional pad until the name of your video server is highlighted, then press "X." All existing titles will be automatically read as file names on your system.
