How to Make an iMac a WiFi Hub

All Intel-based apple iMac desktop computers feature integrated wireless networking. Though different wireless chipsets are used for each model iMac, Apple refers to the wireless networking across all iMacs as "AirPort Extreme." Apple iMac computers typically connect to a wireless router or access point to connect to the Internet. However, you can make an iMac act as a Wi-Fi hub, otherwise known as an Ad-Hoc access point, through the networking preferences you choose.
