How to Troubleshoot a Frigidaire Double Wall Oven

So many features may make things more convenient for cooks, but it may also lead to more questions and problems for the user as well. Make sure the power cord is plugged in if there is no power to the Frigidaire oven. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker if necessary. Turn on the gas valve fully if the oven has power but is not heating.

Wait until the "Pre-Heating" light goes out, indicating that the baking temperature has been reached, before placing items into the oven if items are burning on the bottom or cooking too fast or slowly. Do not overcrowd the racks, maintaining a space of 2 to 4 inches between cooking items and between items and the sides and rear of the oven.

Make adjustments to the oven temperature as needed if items do not cook as expected in 25-degree increments. Monitor food regularly for the best results.

Avoid opening the oven doors too much during cooking if it takes extra time for food to finish cooking. Do not overcrowd racks and increase the oven temperature by 25 degrees if necessary.

Close the oven door firmly and select the correct oven for self cleaning if the self-cleaning function is not working as expected. Let the oven cool completely and remove all racks and items from the oven before attempting to set a self-clean cycle.

Clean the oven with a damp nylon brush if the oven is not thoroughly clean after the self cleaning process; choose a longer self-cleaning time in the future.

Remove excess fat from meat and use a broiler pan/insert if there is a lot of smoke during broiling. Clean the oven regularly to prevent grease from smoking during the broiling process.
