Uponor Wirsbo #A3030101 Troubleshooting

The Uponor Wirsbo A3030101 is a heat-only thermostat that is primarily designed for hydronic heating applications. Because it's a power-sharing thermostat, it doesn't use batteries, but rather receives energy by sharing voltage with the connected wiring. Occasionally, you may run into some problems with this thermostat. Before you call an appliance technician, try a few troubleshooting guidelines that may solve your problem and improve your device's performance.

Instructions

1. Remove your Wirsbo A3030101 thermostat from the wall plate if it isn't powering on. Inspect the wires and the terminals to which they are connected and make sure that they are properly and tightly secured. If the terminals are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver. After you finish, place the thermostat back on the wall plate.

2. Check the mode settings if your unit is not heating. If you see "None," it means that your thermostat is off. Press the "+" or "-" buttons to enter the program mode. When you see the heat icon, press the buttons again to increase or decrease the temperature setting. The thermostat accepts the new setting five seconds after you press the button for the final time. Afterward, it displays the current room temperature.

3. Press the "Special Setting" button and the "+" button at the same time if you wish to adjust the sensor-reading calibration.The display shows a single-digit number.

4. Press the "+" or "-" buttons to increase or decrease the sensor-reading offset; positive numbers will increase the sensor reading and negative numbers will decrease the sensor reading. Your thermostat will accept the change five seconds after you press a button for the final time.

5. Press the "Special Setting" button twice if you wish to change the system from Fahrenheit to Celsius or vice versa; the display shows the temperature units.

6. Press the "+" or "-+" buttons to change the units. After five seconds, the thermostat accepts the changes.

7. Press the "Special Setting" button twice if you are unable to increase the temperature past a certain point. You should see the number "1" and the temperature setting at the lower left.

8. Press the "+" button to increase the upper temperature limit and then wait five seconds for the change to take effect.
