Whether you are playing Rudolph in a Christmas production or preparing for a costume party, antlers are a welcomed asset to your wardrobe. Instructions

    • 1

Print your antler template out twice on plain paper.

    • 2

Cut carefully around the four pieces of your paper template with scissors.

    • 3

Lay your velvet on a flat surface in front of you and place the antler template on top of the fabric. Pin the template into place with sewing pins.

    • 4

Cut around your template with sewing scissors. Remove the sewing pins from the velvet and place the template to one side. Write a number between one and four on each piece of fabric with your fabric chalk.

    • 5

Pick up the first piece of fabric and place it on top of the second. Pick up the second piece of fabric and place it on top of the third. Pin the fabric together with sewing pins.

    • 6

Sew around the edges of each antler with your sewing machine. Leave a gap at the bottom of each antler.

    • 7

Stuff your antlers with cotton stuffing. Use a knitting needle to position the cotton stuffing in the crevices.

    • 8

Lay your headband flat in front of you. Fold the remaining fabric at the bottom of each antler outward. Apply textile glue to the underside of each fold on the first antler and position it on the left hand side of your headband.

    • 9

Apply textile glue to the underside of each fold on the second antler and position it on the right hand side of your headband.

    • 10

Leave the glue to dry for five minutes. Try your antlers on.
