How to Troubleshoot a ZTE MF626 Modem

Problems with the ZTE MF626 modem can occur during and after installation of the modem. The USB modem provides you with the opportunity to access the Internet from within a carrier's network. In addition to connection problems, you could also experience problems with the modem's microSD card if the computer fails to recognize it. Performing basic resets and using the Telecom Connection Manager to resolve problems may save a long conversation with technical support.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the ZTE MF626 modem from its USB port if the computer doesn't recognize it. Restart the computer and reinsert the modem into the USB port when the computer fully starts up.

Remove the modem's microSD card if the interface displays that the card can't be read or found. Flip the covering over the microSD slot up to expose the card. The slot is located on the side of the modem. Push the card in to eject it from the slot. Reinsert the card into the slot. Push the card in until you hear a click. Replace the slot's covering.
