How to Stuff Balloons Tutorial
You can make creative party decorations or unique party favors with balloons. Fill a large balloon full of small balloons for a party decoration that looks filled with balloon bubbles. Use a variety of different colored balloons for a rainbow decoration or fill the balloon with balloons that coordinate with the party's color scheme. When the party is over, present each guest with an inflated balloon, filled with candies, little toys and other party goodies.
Things You'll Need
- 36-inch latex balloon
- 5-inch latex balloons
- Plastic dowel
- Thin ribbon
- 11- or 14-inch balloon
- Small treats and toys (wrapped gumballs, saltwater candy, etc.)

Balloon-Filled Balloons
-
1
Inflate a large 36-inch latex balloon with as much air as it can take comfortably. Hold the end closed but do not tie the end of the balloon in a knot.
-
2
Slide a small, 5-inch deflated balloon onto a plastic dowel and slide the balloon into the large balloon, with the end of the small one poking out slightly. It is okay if the large balloon loses a bit of air. You can add some more later.

-
3
Inflate the 5-inch balloon, tie the end and push the tied end into the balloon.
-
4
Slide another small balloon onto the plastic dowel and into the large balloon opening. Fill it with air and tie the end closed. Repeat to add as many small balloons as you would like.
-
5
Inflate the large balloon if it has lost some of its air, and tie the end of the balloon in a knot. Leave the balloons scattered around the party room floor or tie a piece of string or ribbon onto the balloon end and hang it from the ceiling.
Balloon Party Favors
-
6
Inflate a medium-size balloon. Use an 11- or 14-inch balloon, depending on the amount of treats you have to add to the party favors. Do not tie the end of the balloon.
-
7
Slide the small treats into the balloon. Use small treats, such as wrapped gumballs and saltwater candy. Stay away from large treats that may not fit through the opening or candies with hard ends or points, such as lollipops.
-
8
Slide the other toys or goodies into the balloon.
-
9
Inflate the balloon a little bit if it has lost some of its air. Tie the end of the balloon in a knot.
-
10
Cut a piece of thin ribbon. Make the piece about 10 to 12 inches long. Fold the ribbon to find the center and tie the loose ends in a knot around the end of the balloon. This makes a handle for the balloon favor bag.
