1
Cut a length of the netting into a 9-inch by 20-inch rectangle. Lay the rectangle lengthwise across your face and determine if the veil needs to be shortened. Cut accordingly.
-
2
Thread a needle with a thread that matches the color of your veil. Gather one of the short edges of the veil with your fingers. Using the needle and thread sew all the way through the gathered netting, using small stitches across the gathered section, to secure. This will be covered with decorations, so it doesn't have to be pretty, just effective.

Turn on the glue gun to heat the glue. While waiting, gather the two clear hair combs and lay them on the gathered edges of the veil with the teeth pointing toward the middle of the veil and the curve of the combs laying on the veil.
-
4
Glue the combs onto the gathered edges.
-
5
Select your comb decorations. Use feather, beads, vintage broaches or buttons, silk flowers, or anything else you want for your whimsical visage covering.
-
6
Sew or hot glue accessories to the veil, on top of the combs. Use as much or as little embellishment as you like. Whatever you choose, keep in mind wearing a bandeau veil is all about sassy style with a retro appeal.

Tips & Warnings
Sewing the hair combs to the veil for extra strength may be a good idea if you are prone to playing with your hair or have heavy decorations affixed to the veil.
When adding decorations to the veil, place the decorations on the convex or outward curved side of the comb and not the concave side.
