Check to see if your satellite dish is perfectly level. Hold a bubble level along the base of the satellite dish to test if the device has been installed along a flat surface. If the device is installed at an angle, it may sway in the wind if it its base isn't secured properly on a flat surface.

Tighten the bolts on the dish with a wrench to keep it from moving when the wind blows. Be careful not to over tighten the bolts, as you may have to readjust the satellite dish in the future.

Realign the dish by setting it in an area that is free of obstructions. While it is important to secure the satellite dish, it is even more important to keep a steady signal by clearing out tree limbs and other debris from its path.
