How to Make My PlayStation 3 Go From an HD TV to a Normal TV
Connecting your PS3 to an HDTV allows you to take advantage of the high-resolution options offered by the console, including Blu-ray support and high-definition video games. However, you may need to connect the PS3 to a standard-definition TV at some point, which is a connection that is incompatible with the PS3 high-resolution display settings. As a result, a PS3 that has been connected to an HDTV will display a blank screen when connected to a standard-definition TV, negating your ability to adjust the display options from the PS3 menu. However, you can also reset the display settings without accessing the menu.
