How to Transfer Email from Google Apps to Gmail

Google Apps email addresses are separate from normal Google accounts. If you're switching from Google Apps to a standard Google account, you can move your email from Google Apps to a normal Gmail account using the mail fetcher feature in Gmail. Gmail downloads all email from your Google Apps account and automatically imports it into your Gmail account. After setting up mail fetcher, Gmail continually checks your Google Apps account for new emails that arrive.
