If the drain hose is not properly connected, it could come out of the standpipe and spill water on the floor of your laundry room, basement or garage. Additionally, if the drain is not installed at the correct height, the washer will not drain properly or will constantly drain. . Does this Spark an idea?

Ensure that the standpipe opening is between 39 and 96 inches off of the ground. If the standpipe is lower than 39 inches, the washer will continually drain, and if it is higher than 96 inches, the washer's pump will not sufficiently remove the water.

Fit the drain hose into the drain hose form that is included with the washer. Ensure that no more than 8 inches of the end of the drain hose will be inserted into the standpipe.

Insert the drain hose into the standpipe. Use beaded tie straps to secure the hose and form into position to ensure that it does not come out of the standpipe. Do not use tape to secure the hose or seal the standpipe.
