The Best Way to Trim Sideburns
Well-trimmed sideburns can make or break your haircut. Since sideburns are generally cut quite short, they may be in need of a trim before the rest of your hair. If you need to trim your sideburns, but do not want to return to your hair stylist for a full haircut and trim, you can do it at home with hair or beard trimmers. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Comb
- Hair or beard trimmer
- Trimmer cut depth attachment of appropriate size

Dampen your sideburns with water and comb them so that they are flowing in their natural direction.

Put the depth control attachment onto your trimmer by following the attachment instructions provided by the manufacturer of your device.

Plug your trimmer into the wall and turn it on. Then, holding the trimmer vertically with the blades facing your face, raise the trimmer up to your sideburns.

Align the trimmer horizontally with your face, and move it slowly in a downward motion to trim your sideburns to the desired length.

Wash your hair and face after trimming to get rid of any stray hair clippings.
