Instructions

    • 1

Place a piece of 8 1/2-by-11-inch piece of paper on a flat work surface so the 11-inch edge is along the horizontal axis.

    • 2

Match the top and bottom edge. Crease along the fold. Repeat the process one more time.

    • 3

Fold the bottom left-hand corner up and align it with the top edge of the paper to create a triangle. Crease along the fold.

    • 4

Fold the triangle to the right just the width of the triangle. Crease along the fold.

    • 5

Fold the top left-hand corner down and align it with the bottom edge to form a triangle. Repeat Steps 3 through 5 for the length of the paper. The folding process creates triangles that fold around themselves the entire length of the paper.

    • 6

Stop folding triangles with the last 1 1/2 inches of the strip. Fold the top right-hand corner down and meet the edge of the folded triangles. Crease along the fold.

    • 7

Lift the top layer of triangles up slightly to form a pocket. Slide the end of the paper in the pocket until the paper is flush with the outside edge of the triangle. Press the crease firmly to hold all folds in place.
