How to Make a Dollar Bill Man
The dollar bill man is made from two separate pieces of dollar bill origami. A shirt and a pair of pants make up the dollar bill man. He has no head, arms or feet, but when the pants and shirt are fitted together, they create a man-like shape. The folding process for each stage is not difficult, and is an activity that can entertain children and adults during down time. Make the pants and shirt from the same denomination for a cohesive appearance.

Shirt

1
Fold the two long sides of the dollar bill in toward the middle so that the edges align in the center of the bill, but do not overlap. Turn the bill fold side down.
-
2
Fold one short end over about ¼ of an inch to hold the side folds in place. Fold the corners in toward the folded side of the bill until they meet in the center.
-
-
3
Fold the bottom edge of the dollar bill up toward the middle of the bill. Crease the inside edges at a diagonal, so that when you flip the edge up, the inside corners stick out like sleeves.
-
4
Fold the bill in half again. Tuck the corner folds over the bottom edge to hold the fold in place. The corner tabs turn into a collar for the shirt.
Pants
-
5
Fold a dollar bill in half lengthwise. Fold it in half widthwise to make a small rectangle shape.
-
6
Open the width fold and fold each side of the dollar bill down diagonally along the creased line.
-
7
Fold the center point down. Fold the two sides of the pants in half lengthwise to make two narrower legs.
-
8
Slide the shirt inside the folds of the pants. Use a piece of sticky tack to hold the pants onto the shirt to complete the dollar bill man.
