How to Make Straight Hair Curly With Aussie Hairspray

Use hairspray to hold your look in place.

Transform straight hair into vibrant curls by using a few styling tools and Aussie hairspray to hold your look in place. All types of Aussie hairsprays work to lock in curls, but some formulas work best for certain hair types. If you have fine or stubborn straight hair, choose Aussie Mega hairspray, since this brand has more ingredients for hair that's not easy to style. The Aussie Aussome Volume hairspray works well for all hair types.

Things You'll Need

• Brush
• Aussie hairspray
• Curling iron

Instructions

1. Brush clean hair for five or more minutes and remove all tangles. Plug in your curling iron so it can warm up. All irons have different features, but most irons are ready when the red light comes on. Set the iron to medium or high heat and always use caution around irons.

2. Spray your entire head with a light mist of Aussie hairspray.

3. Hold a 1- or 2-inch section of hair in your hand and place the bottom of this section between the iron and the clip. Roll the iron up from the bottom if you want to create full curls that bounce on the bottom. Hold the iron in place for 30 or more seconds and spritz a light mist of Aussie hairspray directly on the curl.

4. Twist the iron in a sideways motion if you want to achieve sideways curls. Once the bottom section of hair is in place between the clip you simply twist the iron in circles and move it upward so the hair can wrap around the iron.

5. Add more curls to the rest of your head by sectioning additional pieces of hair and applying more hairspray each time.
