How to Run a Homecoming Campaign
Campaigning for homecoming queen or king is an important event in the lives of some students. Those who truly desire the position will work toward winning the competition, which involves gathering votes from as many other students as possible. The process of becoming queen or king is preceded by a campaign, in which fellow students are allowed to consider all candidates before voting for one.

1
Review the guidelines for homecoming queen or king. Some schools have specific qualification guidelines or campaigning rules that need to be followed. Disregarding these guidelines and rules will result in a candidate being removed from the competition. An example of some campaigning rules include campaigning time lines, places to campaign and guidelines for advertising with posters.

2
Recruit a campaign team. Include on the team an artistic person whom can draw the posters and a few loyal friends who will spread the word that you want to be queen or king. If possible, recruit friends from different social circles to reach more of the student body. Encourage your campaigners to convince their friends to vote for you.

3
Hang posters wherever the school will allow you to hang them. Make sure the posters are in every area where posters are allowed. Maximum school coverage will lead to students viewing your name more often and possibly voting for you due to recognition.
-
4
Act the part of king or queen. This does not mean you treat the rest of the student body as peasants. Instead, it means you do not slander the competition and you are kind to everybody. Modern royalty are respectful to others at public events. Replicate this behavior by avoiding the rumor mill, saying hello to all voters and respecting others' advertising or campaign efforts.
