How to Crochet Cuffs
In the cold winter months, every bit of skin exposure can affect a person. The space between the end of a glove and the edge of a coat can sometimes be a neglected area. A wrist cuff is a practical solution for keeping warm. By combining a few different kinds of crochet stitches, you can create a thick cuff to wear throughout the winter and combat the frigid weather.

Complete the first round by chaining three. Double crochet each stitch. Join with a slip stitch.

Chain three stitches to begin the second round. Stitch a front-post double-crochet stitch by first placing the yarn over the hook and then inserting the hook behind the post of the stitch. Yarn over again, and then pull through. Put the yarn over the hook, and then pull it through the two created loops on the hook. Yarn over, and then pull the hook through the remaining two loops.

Stitch the back-post double-crochet stitch by putting the yarn over the hook and then inserting the hook into the back of your next stitch. Pull through with three loops on the hook. Bring the yarn over the hook, and then pull the hook through the remaining two loops. Wrap the yarn over the hook again, and pull it through the remaining two loops, completing the stitch. Alternately repeat these two stitches to complete the second round.

Repeat rounds one and two until the cuff reaches 8 inches or desired length. Fasten off. Repeat the same process to create a second cuff.
